In typical Christchurch Marathon weather last Sunday, Lucy Lawlor ran a fantastic 7 minute PB to come home in a net time of 3:22:59 (gun time of 3:23:33) to finish 12th woman (79th overall) in this prestigious event. Full results here.
Lucy has been following a tailored FSA Coaching training plan to prepare for her race and executed a near-perfect race day with even splits and spot on pacing. Congratulations Lucy!
I enjoyed that [the plan] was flexible and allowed me to continue with my more social approach to running as well as being able to keep playing hockey and doing crossfit a few times a week. It was also a programme that really challenged me and has given me some interesting insights into running and ultimately helped me achieve some great results.
